Business went on as usual until the year 1973 when the company came up with new waterproof boots that they decided to name Timberland. Because the product became extremely popular, they decided to change the name of the company to Timberland, so that they could be able to ride on the popularity of their new product.
After this period, the Timberland boots increased in popularity and the product continued to gain wide acceptance as the company expanded into the other regions that it had not gone to initially. These regions included countries like Italy, and other parts of Europe.
